Weekend in Salt Lake

Two weekends ago we went to Salt Lake, and I'm a total slacker since I didn't post these pictures earlier! It was a blast! Kyle and I decided to only go to restaurants we had never been to, so that was awesome.

When we first got there, we hung out in our hotel room for a bit.

Daddy gave Addie a mohawk.

Adalynn kicked her legs free while she was napping.

For our pre-anniversary dinner, we went to the Blue Iguana. The food was ok, but mainly it was a super cute place!

Addie got a new hat from the cutest children's clothing store called Naartjie (pronounced Nar-chee is what they told us)! She also got Miss Ellie the elephant from Build-A-Bear.

We had to make a food stop while we were out shopping the Gateway.

The whole weekend definitely wore Adalynn out! Oh yes, and her shirt is also from Naartjie. It was started in South Africa, so the little shape on her shirt is Africa!

Since we spent the whole weekend in Salt Lake, we had to do our weekly photo shoot while we were there. Here are some of the contenders:

And did I forget to mention that Addie has started pulling herself into a standing position!

We definitely had a great time in Salt Lake! The whole weekend was wonderful, and we were happy to spend all that extra time with daddy!

Happy V-Day!!!

Today was Addie's first Valentine's day. She got a fuzzy teddy from mommy and daddy, and some awesome new animal books from Grammy and Gramps Enriquez. 

 

As for the more romantic part of the evening, I made Kyle homemade lasagna.

Adalynn was, of course, our centerpiece. She also had to have an outfit change, since she had spit up on her first dress.

By the end of the meal, she had taken out her headband and was sucking on it.

I was just messing around while Kyle got the camera ready, but Addie looked so cute I had to post this!

At the end of our first Valentine's Day as a new family, we had to get a family photo.

All of the festivities of the day definitely wore Adalynn out!

As for our first Valentine's with Adalynn. it was definitely special. I love my baby and my husband so much! He is such a great husband and father. He will be leaving a week from today for Army Basic Training. I will miss him so much, but I am really proud of what he is doing! 

Life lately

This past week has been a pretty fun one for us! Adalynn is now 13 weeks old! You can see the new picture here.

She has recently discovered her hands and is playing a lot more.

We all got dolled up for her 3 month photo shoot with the amazing Brianne Serrano!

Here we are after an hour of an extremely happy baby! She did so well with this photo shoot and we can't wait to see the pictures!!

On Saturday, we had a family party for Kyle, since he will be leaving next Tuesday. He of course was a being a great uncle and letting the kids play on his I-Pad.

The whole party thing wore Adalynn out. We ended up ditching her cute jean mini-skirt before the night was up.

Overall, life has been going great lately! We're just having fun and spending as much time together before Kyle leaves to Army Basic Training.
